BACKGROUND.
Hela has three main verses and one secondary verse, all with differing origins of her ‘creation’. Each drastically changes her outlook on matters, behavioural patterns and actions. MAIN VERSE: DARK DEVOURED

Class: wizard meets sorcerer.. it explains itself❝ Once upon a time... a cruel trick was played upon an unknowing soul. Those who used to know Aurelia would no longer recognise her, aside from her physical appearance perhaps. Once a chosen champion to Mystra, now an aasimar to Shar.How Aurelia grew up is a story known to a very few, and not even to the woman herself anymore. In grand lines, she used to be a wizard entirely devoted to Mystra and of incredible powers. During a time most dark, with an aasimar of Shar bringing death and darkness upon many, Aurelia took it upon herself to try and find a way to end this tyranny. She sought the guidance of Mystra, whom she actually conversed with on several occasions; something she then thought to be the most exciting thing that could ever happen to her. As it turns out, such was not the case. First, Aurelia became one of Mystra’s champions after which she was gifted a spear imbued with the weave’s very essence, strengthened by Selûne’s moonlight and Lathander’s sunlight. A weapon fine enough to kill mighty beings, blessing its carrier with mighty powers to fulfil the task. A weapon tuned to Aurelia and for her only, hers to command and own. After accustoming herself with the weapon, she set out to do her duty.The aasimar certainly did not make it easy on the mortal though, and though she fell and died with the spear lodged between her ribs; she enforced a far more cruel fate upon her opponent. Her last move had been to pull Aurelia with her into the her mother’s dark embrace, where Mystra’s power could no longer reach her, whilst Shar’s power reigned ever so powerfully.

Shar immediately swept the mortal up into her darkness, tainting her, breaking her, remaking her.. Aurelia spent many years [70] within the her domain, until she was no more. Her personality, her memories, her very essence wiped. All but her knack for magic, that is. And once her slate was wiped clean, Shar got her ultimate revenge by reforging her into her very own new aasimar: Hela. No longer Mystra’s champion, but rather Shar’s to command and imbued with the Shadow weave itself. Her connection shown in her darkened eye. Her weapon? An empty shell tucked away in Shar’s Gauntlet, but absolutely lethal to chosen of the deities that put their essences into it.Being sent back to the mortal planes with no memories and the desire to spread Shar’s will and power, Hela had to find her place once more. She now had access to the formerly inaccessible Shadow Weave, which she masterfully studied and wielded after only little time. She also accesses the True Weave and is now capable of combining the two for her own usage – she cannot taint the Weave, nor purify the Shadow Weave outside of her own magical use. Because of this, she is able to use light, dark, healing and harming spells. Purely channelling the Weave causes her pain and nausea, thus she will most often be seen using the Shadow Weave. However, through decades of torture and erasure, Shar has linked the Shadow Weave to Hela’s soul in its deepest core. Because of this, she is capable of granting access to the Shadow Weave, or at least its remnants. It also grants her the ability to make contracts like those from the hells would, if she so desires.What she desires though, depends on many factors. She is known to disobey her “mother”, and she isn’t as dark or evil aligned as some would expect her to be. Hela is very much capable of turning “good” again, especially if she gains access to her old memories back from when she was still Aurelia. However, this can turn her even darker

▍ ❝   I. MYSTRA'S CHAMPION
___
Aurelia became Mystra's Champion at the age of 29. At this time, she had devoted herself to finding a way to kill Shar's aasimar. She received the spear when she was 32, and wound up fighting and killing the aasimar when she was 35. She was tossed into Shar's domain immediately after.Notes:
- there was a brief moment in which Aurelia contemplated making a deal with one of the hells' many creatures for enough power to kill the aasimar. This was only thrown away when Mystra named her a Champion and gifted her with powers instead.
- it is my personal headcanon that the spear in the Gauntlet of Shar is actually Aurelia's spear. Due to Selûne's essence being in it, it proves lethal to Aylin. It will also prove lethal to Hela due to it having absorbed the shadow's powers after separation from Aurelia. The spear's true powers may only be unlocked by Aurelia, but this also means it can be unlocked by Hela after she regains her memories.

▍ ❝   II. DEVOUREDFrom the age of 35 to 105, Aurelia was trapped into Shar's domain. As one can imagine, she went through the worst a person could possibly imagine and then some. Shar used what little access she had left of the Shadow Weave to further taint her, but it eventually also wound up strengthening her once thrown back into the mortal planes with a new name, immortal and with mighty powers: Hela.Notes:
- She remembers absolutely nothing from her past. Not even seeing figures from her past, such as Elminster, would somehow trigger a memory. The only things that could trigger her memories are 1) touching the spear, 2) by being cleansed with the Weave by someone exceptionally strong or 3) by Mystra's, Lathander's or Selûne's doing when she is not within mortal planes.
- Due to the horrors inflicted by Shar, her right eye now has a different colour. This is permanent. It's dark grey and outlined by black.
- Her left eye glows when using the Weave, her right eye glows when using the Shadow Weave.

▍ ❝   III. BORNE OF SHADOWSIn most threads, Hela will be 120 years old, unless otherwise specified. This means she has spent the last 15 years doing Shar's biddings, for the most part. Not only that, but she spends a lot of her time gaining knowledge on her powers, the Shadow Weave and the Weave. If she does not perform Shar's biddings properly enough, she may be punished with pain and memory loss especially. However, Shar can no longer take away Hela's powers, as she is too merged with the Shadow Weave, whereas Shar has little to no access due to Mystra. Hela does not know this.Notes:
- Using the Weave in its pure form [like anyone else, really] actually causes her harm and drains her energy. In certain plots this could be Shar wanting her to be dependant on the Shadow Weave, it could also by Mystra attempting to ward her from using the Weave.
- Like Aylin, Hela does have wings. However, she rarely actually uses them and prefers her 'ordinary' human form and to blend in. Besides, she also does not like how sensitive they are [both positively and negatively] and sees them a weakness just because of that.
On rare occassions that she does use them, there's a bright glow around them when she channels akin to her eyes.

▍ ❝   VERSE II: BORN OF SHADOWS.Age | 81

Religion | Shar [not necessarily devoted]Created from remnants of the Shadow Weave and the essence of Shar herself, Hela was sent to the mortal planes to spread darkness and slay those who worshipped false gods. A task she carried out for a great many years with pure devotion, wielding a blade as dark as nightfall itself. In the meantime, Hela studied and accessed that which she was created from: the Shadow Weave, the once powerful equivalent of Mystra’s Weave. Although Mystra made it nigh impossible to recreate the Shadow Weave after her resurrection, the remnants that remained were enough for Hela to work with.Over the course of years, Hela stabilised the Shadow Weave for her own usage, slowly using that as opposed to her trusted sword. Eventually she managed to stabilise it enough for Shar to grant its powers to her most loyal servants, even if it cost dearly to access it and wasn’t something that could widely be used. Sadly, her and Shar’s powers do not reach as far as to recreate it entirely and strengthen it: Mystra has done a rather successful job at preventing such. Perhaps with more work, or even with Mystra falling yet again, it could become a possibility. There’s also a realistic possibility that if the Shadow Weave were to be destroyed completely, Hela would cease to exist due to her origins. For this reason alone, she seeks no more power from the Shadow Weave than what is necessary. Still, this also means that if Shar were to be cross with Hela, she could not kill nor take her daughter’s full powers from her. For that, Hela has tangled herself within the Shadow Weave and Mystra’s domain too much. In certain cases, Shar may have been displeased enough to end her aasimar’s existence. For after many years of roaming mortal planes, Hela has created her own persona outside of her mother’s influence and creation. Trickery being one of Shar’s domains, has also led to Hela becoming quite versed in the arts. Disobeying, lies carefully hidden with half-truths and seeking ways to interpret matters in such ways that she obeys without fully doing so.. those she excels in.This also means her loyalty to Shar is not one of pure devotion like the way it used to be, to the point it can waver and extinguish in certain cases. In some situations, she may even take preference to her ‘aunt’ rather than her mother. Over the years, Hela may prefer to be her own ‘person’ rather than an ascendant for her mother to use as a puppet. Sadly, such phases often end in pain unimaginable to mortals: either by being pulled and kept in the Shadowfell for prolonged periods of times, or through doctrine and kinds of mind control. It is not unlike Shar to wipe her daughter’s mind from time to time.

▍ ❝   VERSE II: ASCENSION TO DIVINITY.Former name | Morrigan Sarildul

Religion | SharThis verse is still very much in progress. The essentials: Morrigan has always been an entirely devoted Sharran. Raised up as a paladin, she has fought many battles in her Lady's name. Her acts were seen, appraised and admired greatly by Shar herself at some point during her years serving as a Dark Justiciar.At some point, Shar chose her to come to the Shadowfell. Here, Morrigan willingly surrendered her identity, her memories and all else in name of her Lady. In the process, a much kinder one than Aurelia's, Morrigan became Hela. Unlike the in the other verses, Hela is not a caster here. She does have strengthened smites and abilities gifted by Shar, but she cannot cast the way her counterparts would.She remains dedicated to Shar, her faith unwavering and even strengthened by her newfound divinity.
